Due to a massive workload on a project that won't see the light of day until 2012, I've not been able to post a lot of new stuff lately. But here at least is a tiny Xmas greeting. So Bon Noël to you if you've found your way to this wee neck of the woods, and a cracking new year to you!

Brand new picture book from publishers Gyldendal. A vacuum cleaner that dreams of becoming a piano befriends a street cat who wants to be an opera singer. Script by Lars Høiby and Thomas Owren.

Jenny

Had a long busy summer that left little time for updates. But back on track now. Here are a few images from "Jenny gets tough", a story about a young girl who disappears into the dark woods. Written by Marita Liabø and published by Samlaget, Norway.

Just out is the fourth in the series about Bjørnar, his furry friend Hjalmar and their escapades. Written by Eldrid Johansen, it's an easy reader for the young'uns from Norwegian publishers Cappelen Damm. Here's an early rendition of the cover, finished cover and a slew of characters...

Just came across this little gem. Fletcher Hanks' «You Shall Die by Your Own Evil Creation» and its companion «I Shall Destroy All the Civilized Planets» are well worth a look. Available at Tronsmo and Fantagraphics. Simply ace.

Cover for Snitt

I was asked to do the cover for the latest issue of Snitt, the magazine for the society of Graphic Designers and Illustrators in Norway (the Norwegian equivalent to Varoom). This edition was planned to mainly feature illustration and illustrators' black books, and thus, the cover was made in the sketchbook in a similar style to my other sketches. I was also afforded a portfolio spot inside the mag. The cover image was partially inverted for print, here's the original:
